WOO II - Skills

Skills are developed within a character's Life Path. Players purchase skills with points that are awarded each time a character achieves a new level. No skills will be given to a character at their time of creations. Skills only become available when a player chooses a Life Path.

In some cases, certain talents are prerequisite to skill choices, especially when the skill is an advanced form of the talent.

Fighting and Raiding

Fighters and Raiders both engage in heavy combat, and so have considerable overlap in the kinds of skills that they need.

However, Raiders tend to engage in extended combat episodes with NPCs. They need efficiency in damage and healing over long periods of time, along with the ability to develop aggro and mitigate steady damage from multiple monsters.

Fighters, on the other hand, meet other players in fairly short engagements. They need high burst damage and healing, have no need of aggro, and will normally need protection from combined melee and ranged assaults.

Crafters have little need for combat. Their skills are geared towards farming materials, manufacturing items, and selling those items in the market place.

There are no skills for questing. The Talents from which all characters may choose are designed to facilitate Questing.
